Columbia Sportswear Company, a global leader in performance apparel, footwear, accessories, and equipment, is seeking a Retail Supervisor to join its Store Leadership Team in Mercedes, Texas. As a Retail Supervisor, you will serve as a key leader within the store, responsible for guiding associate-level team members, supporting store operations, and helping maintain a culture that reflects Columbia’s values. You will directly contribute to the profitability and success of the store by ensuring operational efficiency, upholding brand standards, and fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned associate-level staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to store procedures.
Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and training to team members to maintain operational excellence and deliver top-tier customer experiences.
Supervise specific areas of responsibility within the store, including receiving, handling, replenishment, and processing of merchandise.
Collaborate with store leadership on policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Maintain a positive and professional store culture by leading through example and promoting teamwork.
Monitor compliance with company standards, identifying and resolving operational issues proactively.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
High school diploma or GED preferred (not mandatory).
2–5 years of retail or supervisory experience.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with associates, leadership, and customers.
Proficiency in operating Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and other retail-related technology.
Ability to adapt to changing schedules, including weekends, evenings, and seasonal adjustments.
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on, customer-first approach.
Work Conditions:
Active and physically demanding environment, requiring frequent movement and the ability to lift and adjust merchandise up to 40 lbs.
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, and physical strain.
Flexibility to adapt to seasonal business trends and schedules.
