Retail Supervisor

As a Retail Supervisor, you will serve as a key leader within the store, responsible for guiding associate-level team members, supporting store operations, and helping maintain a culture that reflects Columbia’s values. You will directly contribute to the profitability and success of the store by ensuring operational efficiency, upholding brand standards, and fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned associate-level staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to store procedures.

• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and training to team members to maintain operational excellence and deliver top-tier customer experiences.

• Supervise specific areas of responsibility within the store, including receiving, handling, replenishment, and processing of merchandise.

• Collaborate with store leadership on policies, procedures, and operational standards.

• Maintain a positive and professional store culture by leading through example and promoting teamwork.

• Monitor compliance with company standards, identifying and resolving operational issues proactively.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• High school diploma or GED preferred (not mandatory).

• 2–5 years of retail or supervisory experience.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with associates, leadership, and customers.

• Proficiency in operating Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and other retail-related technology.

• Ability to adapt to changing schedules, including weekends, evenings, and seasonal adjustments.

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on, customer-first approach.

Work Conditions:

• Active and physically demanding environment, requiring frequent movement and the ability to lift and adjust merchandise up to 40 lbs.

• Occasional exposure to dust, noise, and physical strain.

• Flexibility to adapt to seasonal business trends and schedules.
