Description:
Retirement Plan Administration Specialist Responsibilities
Customer Service
· Respond to questions from clients and referral sources in a timely manner
· Be an advocate for TSC in all interactions
Transaction Administration
· Accurately interpret plan documents to determine eligibility for participant transactions (e.g. loans, distributions, QDROs, etc.)
· Intake, review, process, and complete transactions in a timely manner
· Enter distribution information on required tracking lists and software (e.g. 1099-R, internal checklists, etc.)
· Calculate, prepare paperwork for, and process Required Minimum Distributions
Plan Administration
· Coordinate with other service providers (e.g. financial advisor, investment company, CPA, payroll, actuary, etc.)
· Continually develop and increase knowledge of retirement plan rules and regulations (attend webcasts, department meetings, pursue credentials, continuing education, etc.)
· Review team member’s distributions for accuracy
· Send required notices and distribution packages
· Process mandatory distributions
· Set up automatic rollovers for eligible participants
· Assist with requests from other TSC employees
