Description:
Skyworks is an innovator in high-performance analog semiconductors, powering the wireless networking revolution. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal management layers and significant freedom to contribute meaningfully. Interns will develop advanced RFICs (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits), working closely with experienced engineers and subject matter experts. This role provides hands-on exposure to industry-standard tools, lab testing, and design review participation, while offering valuable technical knowledge, practical experience, and potential full-time opportunities at Skyworks.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers to design and develop RFICs for Multi-chip modules
Design RF switches, low noise amplifiers, couplers, etc.
Run simulations using design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE
Participate in and present during design reviews
Perform lab testing using standard RF test equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve design or technical issues
Collaborate with other engineers and technicians
Required Experience and Skills:
Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD program
Commitment to onsite work for 6 months (Summer/Fall)
Strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact
Interest in RF/microwave engineering and RFIC design
Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and SPICE highly preferred
Hands-on lab experience using network analyzers and other RF instruments highly preferred
Duration: June/July to December 2026
