Description:

A FHIR Interoperability Specialist is sought to join a team responsible for supporting HL7 FHIR interoperability projects, focusing on the design, testing, and implementation of electronic interfaces aligned with HL7 FHIR standards and public health program requirements. The role includes providing technical support, consultation, and documentation for interoperability projects, as well as engaging in meetings to support the TDH's interoperability efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of electronic interfaces aligned with HL7 FHIR standards

• Apply informatics principles to ensure data transport and interoperability

• Provide HL7 FHIR technical expertise and guidance for interoperability projects

• Develop and maintain documentation for FHIR interface workflows and troubleshooting guides

• Participate in TDH interoperability-related meetings and provide technical expertise

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public health informatics, epidemiology, computer science, or related field with 5 years of relevant HL7 FHIR experience

• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-agency team

• Ability to work under strict deadlines and manage competing priorities

• Strong oral and written communication skills
