Safety Director

Description:

We’re hiring a Safety Director to join a rapidly growing General Contractor and lead and manage jobsite safety across multi-family and retail construction projects in Ventura County. This role ensures full compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations, promotes a strong safety culture, and supports field teams through training, inspections, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee company-wide safety policies and procedures
• Conduct site inspections and ensure Cal/OSHA compliance
• Lead safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks
• Investigate incidents and enforce corrective actions
• Track safety metrics and report to leadership

Requirements:

• 7+ years in construction safety (multi-family/retail preferred)
• OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR (CHST or CSP a plus)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Familiar with Cal/OSHA and jobsite protocols
