Lovesac, a fast-growing and innovative furniture company, is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate for its Short Hills, NJ location. Dedicated to providing homes with Total Comfort™, Lovesac designs adaptable, washable, and expandable furniture solutions built for sustainable living. Known for products such as Sacs and the modular Sactionals, the company continues to pioneer environmentally responsible and customizable furniture.
As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and engaging in-store experience. You will help customers design furniture solutions that fit their style and space while building long-term relationships that embody Lovesac’s mission and culture of love, innovation, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively engage with customers using Lovesac’s selling techniques.
Achieve and exceed personal sales goals and performance metrics.
Provide attentive service, demonstrate product knowledge, and educate customers about Lovesac’s furniture solutions.
Guide customers from initial interest to purchase, managing quotes, closing sales, and maintaining client relationships.
Conduct customer outreach using company tools to enhance future engagement.
Maintain store standards, ensuring a welcoming and visually appealing environment.
Handle operational tasks such as opening/closing the store, inventory, exchanges, and promotions.
Utilize sales data, reports, and company tools to prioritize tasks and support operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and operational standards.
Support omni-channel customer experience, including assisting with in-store, local store, third-party vendor, and remote service needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of retail or customer service experience.
Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Comfortable using technology (CRM systems, digital sales tools).
Ability to move and assemble medium-to-large furniture items (up to 75 lbs).
Must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and the ability to manage sensitive customer and financial data.
