Description:

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Part-Time Sales Outfitter – Firearms to provide exceptional counter and floor sales support, particularly for firearms and hunting merchandise. This role involves engaging with customers to provide product guidance, completing sales documentation accurately, and maintaining merchandise according to company standards.

The Sales Outfitter contributes to a legendary shopping experience by offering expert knowledge, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and assisting in merchandising and stocking tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class customer service, ensuring a positive and productive shopping experience.

• Assist customers in making informed buying decisions by analyzing needs and recommending products.

• Promote store programs, including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.

• Accurately complete 4473 Forms and adhere to all ATF federal and state regulations.

• Maintain firearms and hunting merchandise areas, ensuring proper stocking, organization, and presentation.

• Demonstrate product knowledge to customers and stay updated through ongoing training.

• Support seasonal floor merchandise moves and merchandising initiatives.

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older.

• Experience: 0–2 years in retail; prior experience in firearms and ammunition sales preferred.

• Skills & Knowledge:

  • Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.

  • Customer service and sales skills.

  • Familiarity with ATF, GCA, and federal/state regulations.

  • Ability to merchandise and stock products effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking during shift.

• Occasional climbing, lifting (up to 100 pounds with team lift), and operation of machinery or tools.

• Ability to work in confined spaces, noisy environments, and perform repetitive motions.
