Description:
The Sales Director will be part of the high-growth Tax Solutions team, delivering tax technology, managed services, and professional services mainly to financial services clients across the Americas. The role requires setting and executing sales strategies, collaborating with global sales and product teams, building pipelines, structuring deals, and maintaining client relationships. The Sales Director must demonstrate strong commercial and entrepreneurial skills, resilience, and excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategy for Tax Solutions in the Americas
Understand and position S&P Tax Solutions to solve clients’ operational tax challenges
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate Tax Solutions with broader S&P Global products
Build pipeline, develop proposals, negotiate, and close complex deals
Stay informed on industry trends to generate new business initiatives
Qualifications:
Basic Required:
7-10 years of business development experience focused on solution selling
Strong negotiation skills for complex deals
Experience managing sales teams to deliver regional plans
Knowledge of financial services, especially operations, regulation, and tax
Experience managing senior-level meetings and contacts
Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and Salesforce
Positive, proactive team player
Preferred:
Degree in business, finance, or related field
Tax qualifications a plus
Experience selling to financial services departments: Operations, Tax, Compliance, Technology
Background in solution selling
