Description:

OWKIN, a pioneering AI company on a mission to advance biological discovery, is hiring a Sales Director for Life Science Accounts to lead commercial engagements with high-potential biotech, CRO, and life sciences investor clients. The successful candidate will own the full sales cycle and drive adoption of OWKIN’s AI-enabled platforms for translational research, clinical trials, and drug development acceleration.

This is a hybrid, full-time role based in New York (or remotely from Eastern/Central U.S. time zones). You will be responsible for pipeline generation, strategic relationship building, proposal development, and deal closure. The role requires consultative selling expertise combined with scientific credibility and commercial acumen. The position reports to senior leadership and plays a critical part in scaling OWKIN’s impact in AI-driven pharmaceutical innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full sales cycle for a portfolio of mid-segment biotech and CRO accounts

  • Develop strong, multi-threaded relationships with stakeholders across scientific, innovation, and business units

  • Deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs

  • Lead contract negotiations with legal, product, and finance teams

  • Maintain CRM systems (Salesforce), track pipeline activities, and provide accurate sales forecasting

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical Sales and Product teams to design client-ready solutions

  • Share client insights to enhance the company’s commercial strategy and playbook

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in B2B enterprise sales or strategic account management (preferably in SaaS, digital platforms, or services targeting life sciences or healthcare)

  • Successful track record in closing complex sales within biotech, CROs, or related sectors

  • Strong consultative sales, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce

  • Strategic mindset and a strong sense of ownership

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in life sciences, digital health, or AI-powered drug development

  • Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced scale-up environment

  • Understanding of AI/ML platforms in clinical trials or translational research

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual compensation (OTE): $250,000 (includes base salary + performance-based bonus)
