Our client, a Freight Forwarding and Logistics provider are looking to hire an experienced Sales Manager, Freight Forwarding to join their team in the Washington, DC/VA area.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously seek new opportunities to sell international logistics and freight forwarding services (air, ocean, import & export) to generate sales in the USA
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of business
- Assist with presentations, proposals and pricing quotes
- Regularly network and attend industry events to develop leads and convert into sales
- Create strong working relationships with clients
Requirements:
- Many years experience selling international logistics & freight forwarding services across the USA
- Currently working for / previously worked for an international freight forwarder
- Experience selling air, ocean, import & export services
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Proven track record bringing in new business with Defence, Government Agencies and Contactors preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
