Description:
The Sales Representative supports revenue growth through a mix of proactive hunting and digital account management. This role is designed for a sales professional who wants to leverage modern tools to manage a high-volume pipeline while identifying new high-value opportunities under the guidance of the VP of Sales & Marketing. You will anchor our new customer portal, helping traditional B2B clients transition to a more efficient, digital-first ordering process.
You will succeed in this role if...
- You are patient and strategic, comfortable nurturing complex opportunities over a longer sales cycle (often 12 months), and you understand that consistent relationship-building and follow-through are what ultimately close big deals.
- You love the thrill of the sale, but you hate manual, repetitive tasks. You’d rather spend 20 minutes setting up an automated sequence or a portal login than 4 hours manually processing paper POs.
- You are capable of walking a traditional customer through their first online order, knowing that once they learn it, you’ve freed up your time to find the next major account sale.
- You don't just put notes in a CRM because you're told to; you do it because you want to see the "intent data" that tells you exactly who to call at 9:00 AM on Monday.
- You enjoy working independently and want to be the "owner" of your own account segment, proving your value through measurable KPIs and revenue growth.
- You are energized by the idea of a "Digital Transformation" and want to be part of a team that values innovation and process improvement over "the way we've always done it".
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sales activities, including customer calls and meetings via video conference, to identify and close new business.
- Respond to inbound inquiries and trial requests to qualify high-potential accounts.
- Identify customer technical, customer service, and logistics needs to recommend the optimal specialty paper products across steel, glass, food & beverage, and numerous other industrial product segments.
- Maintain accurate data within HubSpot to track sales activities, pipeline status, and customer engagement.
- Utilize AI tools and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and efficiencies in the sales process.
- Serve as the primary driver for our new e-commerce portal, onboarding customers to the platform to improve order efficiency.
- Compile, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including pipeline activity, conversion rates, revenue performance, and customer engagement.
- Serve as a day-to-day sales contact for assigned accounts.
Qualifications & Experience
