The company is seeking a Sales Representative in Houston, TX, responsible for driving business growth, building long-term client relationships, and supporting crane rental operations through exceptional sales and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Sales Development:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients in the Houston area.

    • Conduct site surveys and job walks to determine crane requirements based on client needs.

    • Prepare accurate and timely quotations for customers, ensuring pricing competitiveness and value.

  • Operational Coordination:

    • Collaborate closely with dispatchers to communicate job requirements and ensure seamless project execution.

    • Ensure that each project meets the specifications outlined in quotations and complies with Sterling’s policies.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, feedback, and issues promptly.

    • Gather customer feedback regularly and use insights to enhance service quality and market responsiveness.

  • Business Development & Revenue Growth:

    • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned region.

    • Demonstrate consistent revenue growth year over year through strategic sales initiatives.

  • Administrative Compliance:

    • Adhere to all company administrative policies, including sales calls, credit checks, and quote follow-ups.

    • Perform due diligence on clients’ creditworthiness to ensure timely payment compliance.

  • Safety & Compliance:

    • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to Sterling Crane’s safety policies.

    • Conduct all activities in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Sales training or relevant crane experience preferred

  • Minimum 1+ year of crane sales experience required

  • Established accounts preferred

  • Intermediate computer proficiency

  • Experience with 3D Lift Plan software is an asset


Working Conditions:

  • Approximately 75% outdoor work in varying weather conditions

  • Regular exposure to mechanical equipment and moderate noise levels

  • Must be able to walk, climb, balance, kneel, and lift materials as required by the role

  • Requires good vision (close, distance, color, and depth perception)
