Hermès, the world-renowned French luxury house established in 1837, is seeking Sales Specialists for its newly opened Princeton boutique. The Princeton boutique, part of the Hermès Northern Region, is dedicated to providing an extraordinary customer experience and is seeking passionate sales professionals who thrive in luxury retail.

As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for achieving individual and boutique sales targets, delivering world-class customer service, and maintaining operational and asset protection standards. You will work closely with the boutique’s Managing Director, the sales team, and supporting functions to ensure a seamless and luxurious client journey that reflects the brand values of Hermès.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Experience

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals while contributing to the boutique’s collective performance.

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience by warmly greeting clients, assisting with product knowledge, and providing personalized recommendations.

  • Ensure the selling floor is always organized, replenished, and aligned with visual merchandising standards, including straightening, tagging, ticketing, and replenishment.

  • Assist in client relationship management, including CRM data accuracy, purchase history, and after-sales services.

  • Provide assistance with inventory preparation and participate in boutique-wide selling events.

POS & Operational Excellence

  • Accurately process all sales transactions, receipts, and client records.

  • Collaborate with management on POS-related decisions and communicate any discrepancies during daily operations.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment at the POS station.

Asset Protection & Compliance

  • Adhere strictly to Hermès’ asset protection procedures, including employee sign-in protocols, bag checks, merchandise security, and EAS tagging.

  • Assist in preparing for physical inventory and participate in monthly cycle counts.

  • Follow proper key control procedures and comply with all store security guidelines.

Customer Service Standards

  • Represent Hermès’ values by delivering a warm, welcoming, and professional client experience.

  • Provide assistance with packaging, wrapping, and POS services in line with Hermès’ standards of excellence.

  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism in all client interactions.

About You:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience; luxury retail experience is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to remain composed, even-tempered, and multitask in a high-pressure environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance independent work and team collaboration.

  • Self-starter with high levels of initiative and accountability.

  • Flexible schedule with open availability to accommodate business needs.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
