Sba Loan Assistant

 

Description:

This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Small Business Administrative (SBA) lending requirements by creating a complete Loan Application Package for all SBA loans originated by SBA Lenders.

Major Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)

  • Provides administrative support to the lending and credit staff, to assist in the completion of loan packages.
  • Communicates with applicants, Business Development Officers, Brokers, Sellers, and Accountants to gather necessary documents for SBA underwriting and packaging.
  • Reviews all documents received including financial statements and based on the review assesses the need for additional information and additional documents to meet SBA eligibility requirements.
  • Ensures electronic files are complete with all documents required to meet SBA requirements for underwriting and packaging for eligibility and completeness.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the loan files, including all packaging documents, satisfaction of credit conditions, and compliance with SBA Lending requirements as stated in the SBA SOP.
  • Orders third party reports as necessary, including credit reports, appraisal and environmental reports, and UCC searches.
  • Creates the First United Bank Loan Start application for each loan.
  • Creates and maintains status reports for management.
  • Performs variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures.
  • Answers telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and other relevant information.
  • Promotes an outstanding customer experience by exemplifying prompt follow-up and proactive internal/external customer communication, proper etiquette, and all other professional customer service qualities to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

  • Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal, technical, problem solving, and written communication skills.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor.
  • Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
  • Dresses professionally.

Education And Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • College Degree Preferred.
  • Some SBA experience and knowledge of SBA SOP requirements is preferred but not required.
