School Registered Nurse

Ro Health is actively seeking compassionate and qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) to work with K-12 students across schools in New York State for the 2024 school year. The position involves providing medical care, monitoring student health conditions, and serving as a liaison between students, parents, and educational staff. Nurses will work in-person on school campuses with a Monday-to-Friday daytime schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including first aid and emergency response.

• Support students with chronic health conditions such as diabetes and asthma through coordination with families, physicians, and school staff.

• Maintain and review immunization and health records for compliance with NY state regulations.

• Communicate with parents about student health issues and care instructions.

• Implement health and safety protocols, including emergency drills and response plans.

• Accurately document health visits and maintain confidentiality.

• Perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 40 pounds, and prolonged sitting or movement.

Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License.

• CPR/BLS Certification.

• Recent negative TB test result.

• Ability to work in-person and manage flexible school-based schedules.
