As a Dock Hand, you will be a vital part of the member experience, ensuring smooth boat operations, cleanliness, and customer service excellence.

This role runs from April through October and requires availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Candidates who remain available through the full season may qualify for a $500 end-of-season retention bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome members with professionalism, providing a positive and friendly first impression.

• Assist with the check-in and check-out process using handheld tablets and reservation systems.

• Perform safety and equipment checks to ensure all boats are fully equipped and operational.

• Clean, maintain, and fuel vessels in accordance with company standards.

• Support general marina upkeep, including docks, vessels, and club facilities.

• Provide basic boating and local waterway guidance to members.

• Handle phone calls and respond to member inquiries with appropriate etiquette.

• Complete clerical tasks such as fuel logs, weather reporting, and reservation system updates.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and appearance standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, kneeling, balancing, and standing for long periods.

• Comfortable using handheld tablets and basic digital systems.

• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in or around boats and marinas.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy or high-pressure situations.

• Positive, cooperative, and self-motivated attitude.

Work Conditions:

• Outdoor, physical work in varying weather conditions.

• Work on docks (fixed and floating) and near/around water.

• Boarding and exiting vessels safely in different tide and weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wage: $16.50/hour.

• $500 retention bonus (upon completion of full season, eligibility required).
