Description:
EY is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Seasonal Tax Manager for its Private Client Services (PCS) practice, with flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. The PCS team serves a diverse portfolio of privately held companies, their owners, and families—ranging from family-owned businesses and private equity–backed companies to high-growth start-ups and multi-billion-dollar global enterprises. This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects while collaborating with a globally connected team.
The selected professional will focus on reviewing complex individual tax returns, income tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, partnership tax compliance, and S Corp tax compliance. The position also involves federal and state personal and trust income tax work, estate and wealth planning, and translating complex tax data into actionable insights. The role requires no travel and offers competitive hourly pay with overtime eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Review complex individual, partnership, and S Corp tax returns for high-net-worth clients.
Provide strategic tax planning and compliance support, including income tax planning, estate planning, and wealth transfer strategies.
Conduct in-depth tax research to develop effective planning strategies and prepare client-ready deliverables.
Collaborate with colleagues and clients in a virtual team environment.
Manage multiple complex tax projects with precision and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations while optimizing tax outcomes for clients.
Qualifications:
Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
Minimum 4 years of relevant tax compliance experience for private clients, partnerships, and/or S Corps.
Strong technical skills in tax planning and compliance.
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven excellence in tax accounting for financial statements within a top or mid-tier firm.
