Description:
Esri is seeking a Senior Account Manager passionate about local government and geospatial technology. The role involves collaborating with the State and Local Government account team to help customers optimize and expand Esri technology adoption, identify growth opportunities, and deliver expert solutions aligned with their missions.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and nurture relationships with large, complex local government organizations.
Prospect and develop location strategies, create new opportunities, and deepen existing account engagements.
Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
Understand customer business drivers, budgets, acquisition cycles, and key stakeholders including executive decision makers.
Communicate the value of Esri technology tailored to local government needs.
Continuously research and develop professional knowledge to stay competitive.
Lead account strategies by collaborating across Esri teams and partners.
Take initiative to resolve customer issues and deliver results that meet revenue goals.
5+ years in sales, consulting, or related customer support roles.
Proven experience managing sales cycles and building trusted partnerships with large customers.
Financial and business acumen for developing growth strategies.
Advanced understanding of local government and new technology trends.
Solid knowledge of GIS and Esri technology, especially as applied to local government.
Expert in visual storytelling and negotiation at all organizational levels.
Familiarity with fiscal years, budgeting, and procurement cycles in government.
Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or related field.
U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.
General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis.
Master’s degree in GIS, business administration, or related field preferred.
Competitive salary range $114,400 - $218,400 USD annually.
