Senior Analytics Engineer

Description:

TRM Labs, a leading blockchain intelligence company dedicated to combating financial crime and enhancing global security, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join their Advanced Analytics team. TRM empowers governments, financial institutions, and cryptocurrency businesses with advanced analytics and threat intelligence to fight illicit activities, including fraud, ransomware, and terrorist financing.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in scaling the company’s analytics infrastructure, establishing best practices, and ensuring data quality and performance at an enterprise level. Your work will directly enable investigations, product development, and decision-making across TRM’s global customer base, including top law enforcement agencies and financial regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of analytics pipelines and scalable data models.

• Define and implement best practices for analytics engineering, including testing, observability, versioning, and documentation.

• Improve scalability, reliability, and performance of analytics systems processing large datasets.

• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product, and business teams to deliver production-ready datasets supporting key metrics and investigative workflows.

• Develop and maintain data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency across analytics platforms.

• Address and resolve performance bottlenecks while enhancing developer workflows.

• Contribute to on-call responsibilities (lightweight and distributed across the team).

Qualifications and Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or data science.

• Proficiency in SQL, dbt (or equivalent tools), and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).

• Strong expertise in Python, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

• Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).

• Proficiency in building scalable, modular data models and analytics infrastructure.

• Familiarity with LLMs and enabling AI-driven data solutions is a plus.

• Strong dashboard development experience (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary: $190000 – $220000 per year (approx. $15833 – $18333 per month).
