Senior Architect

The Office of the University Building Official (OUBO) has an exciting opportunity for Senior Architect position. This position is part-time benefitted at 20-hours per week, and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule; fully-remote is not possible due to this position needing to perform on-site construction inspections.

Responsibilities Include:

• Participate in design and review meetings with architects, engineers, and project managers to resolve problems, evaluate costs over time, and participate in final acceptance inspections.

• Perform reviews to ensure compliance with applicable codes, guidelines, and established budgets.

• Assist and interact with project and design personnel in the performance of all phases of architectural design and construction.

• Coordinate projects with the University Architect with campus planning and Geospatial database.

• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture

• Experience: Seven years of experience

• Licensure: Professional Architect Registration

• Required Certification: ability to obtain DHCD Commercial Plans Examiner within 18 months of hire.
