The Senior Associate Dean/Vice Dean will have broad responsibility across academic programs, faculty affairs, student success, and strategic initiatives. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence curriculum development, strengthen recruitment and retention, enhance industry and alumni partnerships, and support innovative programs that prepare students to thrive in an evolving technological landscape.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Provide day-to-day academic leadership and operational management while advancing strategic goals for growth, innovation, and excellence.
- Lead curriculum development and oversee faculty affairs, including hiring, tenure and promotion processes, and faculty workload assignments.
- Support student academic success by managing grade appeals, academic petitions, and student progression concerns.
- Guide accreditation activities (ABET and state-level approvals), ensuring program quality and compliance.
- Champion student success initiatives and extracurricular programming to foster belonging, engagement, and achievement.
- Advance the School’s reputation by contributing to communications, public relations, and external outreach (newsletters, blogs, articles, and digital media).
- Partner with the Assistant Dean for Co-op and Experiential Learning to expand co-op participation and strengthen the DEPTH program.
- Collaborate with the Dean on long-term strategic planning, enrollment management, and preparation of annual reports.
- Play an active role in recruitment by participating in admissions events, leading academic overviews, and strengthening recruitment communications.
- Engage with the Dean’s Advisory Board and cultivate relationships with alumni and industry leaders to expand opportunities for students and faculty.
- Represent the School and the Dean at meetings, events, and in the Dean’s absence.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree is required.
- At least five years of progressive leadership experience in higher education or a related sector, with demonstrated administrative responsibilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, alumni, and external partners.
