Description:
Apollo is seeking a business-focused technologist and functional subject matter expert to support the advancement of technology capabilities within the Middle Office and Controllers businesses. This individual will partner with key stakeholders in Investment Operations to lead projects, gather and document business requirements, and coordinate the development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Middle Office Operations professionals to capture and document business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams and vendors to design, implement, and support technology solutions.
- Develop and maintain project artifacts, including project plans, risk matrices, and issue lists, to ensure successful execution.
- Create detailed test cases and actively participate in development and QA testing cycles.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, building strong and continuous relationships.
- Analyze platform processes and capabilities to support the development of a long-term technology strategy.
- Ensure SLAs and key operational metrics are consistently met or exceeded.
- Identify and implement best practices to optimize system usage across internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as an escalation point for support issues, driving in-house functional resolution with root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
Experience & Skills Required
- 8+ years of full lifecycle SDLC experience, including business requirements gathering, functional specification development, and testing.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and Excel Macros; familiarity with C# and Python is a plus.
- Experience with a leading wire management platform (IVP Cash Master strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of systems managing SSI for wire transfers, Swift message generation, cash settlement automation, and straight-through processing.
- Deep familiarity with SWIFT message formats (MT1XX, MT2XX, MT9XX).
- Expertise in business analysis methodologies, including use case modeling, with strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Solid understanding of Middle Office functions and credit instruments (Bank Loans, Bonds, Derivatives, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
- Self-directed, motivated, and collaborative, with the ability to excel in high-intensity, fast-paced environments managing multiple active projects.
