As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will join Sentry’s Data & Analytics team within the Business Operations organization. This team plays a vital role in ensuring that data is consistent, accessible, and actionable across the company. You’ll take ownership of scalable BI practices, empowering teams to make better data-driven decisions while maintaining the integrity and governance of the company’s analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the revamp and optimization of Sentry’s Looker instance, ensuring governance, efficiency, and usability across teams.

• Establish sustainable BI governance and processes that enhance long-term scalability and data reliability.

• Develop deep expertise in analytics tools such as Looker, Amplitude, and Hex, leveraging their combined power to deliver comprehensive insights.

• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to analyze performance data, identify trends, and drive product strategy.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering to shape and scale Sentry’s BI layer and reporting infrastructure.

• Conduct ad hoc analysis for key business areas including Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Product Development.

• Drive adoption of BI tools through enablement programs, documentation, and training sessions to encourage self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or BI Professional.

• Hands-on expertise in BI governance and management, particularly with Looker.

• Proven track record in driving BI adoption through training and internal advocacy.

• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Marketing.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational database management, including schema design.

• Solid understanding of data visualization principles to simplify and communicate complex insights effectively.

• Self-motivated, organized, and able to build structure in undefined work environments.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $160,000–$180,000 annually (approx. $13,333–$15,000 monthly).

• Eligibility for incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and comprehensive health insurance.

• Hybrid work model: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays as in-office collaboration days.
