Senior Civic Advisor

 

Description:

Civic Federal Credit Union is seeking a Senior Civic Advisor to deliver superior member experiences, promote financial wellness, and support branch operations. The Senior Civic Advisor plays a key role in fostering relationships with members and ensuring the successful execution of day-to-day branch activities in collaboration with the Civic Manager. This individual will serve as a knowledgeable liaison in account servicing, lending, and transaction handling, while upholding the Credit Union’s values and promoting an inclusive, member-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Civic Manager to lead and support branch operations, including opening/closing procedures, member services, cash handling, and product promotion.

  • Serve as a frontline contact for members, providing exceptional service across in-person and digital channels.

  • Accurately process member transactions and assist in the opening of deposit and loan accounts.

  • Promote financial products and services tailored to individual member needs and current promotions.

  • Maintain the branch vault, assist in balancing cash drawers, and oversee administrative tasks.

  • Guide members through loan applications, prepare documentation, and escalate to the lending team when needed.

  • Educate members on self-service digital tools for convenient financial management.

  • Handle member concerns and resolve escalated issues effectively using policy knowledge and interpersonal skills.

  • Participate in internal testing for operational improvements and provide constructive feedback.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal procedures, including risk assessments and audit preparation.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in financial services or 1–3 years with a Bachelor's in a related field.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with various digital platforms.

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities.

  • Notary Public certification in North Carolina, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.

  • Physical capability to lift 25 lbs.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Credit union member service experience.

  • Familiarity with mobile/online banking tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
