Senior Construction Planner

Description:

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Senior P6 Construction Planner to support TerraPower’s Natrium Advanced Reactor Project — a next-generation, DOE-backed nuclear energy initiative. The role focuses on advanced project planning, scheduling, and control during the EPC phase (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead schedule development, data analysis, and milestone coordination for EPC activities.

• Oversee integration of engineering, procurement, and construction schedules using Primavera P6.

• Review and analyze resource loading, leveling, and work sequencing.

• Identify schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions or recovery plans.

• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure procurement and construction alignment.

• Produce detailed schedule commentary for monthly progress and management reports.

• Drive process improvement and ensure high-quality schedule control metrics.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills.

• Proven ability to manage complex EPC project schedules independently.

• Experience with schedule quality metrics, reporting, and forecasting.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and adapt to shifting priorities.

Education & Clearance Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Construction Management, or related field).

• Must meet U.S. citizenship/residency and nuclear access requirements.
