Description:
Our Senior Consultant position requires 3 to 5 years of experience in a consulting or industry role, with a strong background in Power Market Modeling:
- Demonstrable work experience in wholesale power markets, power market analysis, policy, regulation and market design, focused on North American power markets
- Analytical skills applied to wholesale electricity market fundamentals, with experience of production cost modeling in PLEXOS or other software (e.g. PROMOD, AURORA, SaaS tools) highly desirable
- Ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data in Python
- Exposure to appraising infrastructure projects using basic discounted cashflow analysis
- Experience in commercial and contracting structures, with an understanding of the routes to market for power generation assets and designing business models in energy markets
- The ability to take ownership of your own work, and contribute to the delivery of results in client-facing environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and a track record of effective team working with people from different disciplines with different backgrounds.
