EY is actively seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Operational Technology (OT) to join their Cybersecurity & Privacy - Technology Consulting team in New York, NY. This role offers the opportunity to work with clients across various industries to design, implement, and manage innovative OT cybersecurity solutions. As a key member of a globally respected firm, you will have the chance to protect sensitive infrastructure while helping clients meet their security goals and regulatory obligations.
You will lead or co-lead elements of multiple cybersecurity engagements and contribute to high-impact, strategic initiatives within the OT space. You’ll interact with cross-functional teams and drive project delivery, service development, and long-term strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of OT cybersecurity solutions across various sectors such as Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Utilities, Manufacturing, and Mining.
Conduct OT cybersecurity assessments and network reviews, utilizing standards like NIST CSF and ISA62443.
Deliver technical solutions including firewall configurations, industrial protocol reviews, and risk-based security architectures.
Develop and document security reference architectures, blueprints, schematics, and roadmaps.
Drive service delivery, RFP responses, and client communication while mentoring junior team members.
Collaborate with engagement managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Participate in threat hunting, security assessments, and development of comprehensive cybersecurity strategies.
Travel as required (40–60%) for project engagements and client coordination.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in OT cybersecurity or engineering roles.
Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA networks, and OT protocols.
Demonstrated experience conducting OT cybersecurity assessments and implementing tiered architecture designs.
Knowledge of NIST 800-82, ISA/IEC 62443, AV, IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls, white listing technologies, etc.
Excellent communication, project management, and documentation skills.
U.S. work authorization, valid driver’s license, and valid passport.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GICSP).
Experience with digital transformation projects in OT environments.
Proven ability to lead cross-segment teams in client-facing roles.
Experience with program management and digital fluency.
Compensation & Benefits:
Annual base salary: $103,800 to $216,300 (varies by geography and experience).
