Senior Data Analyst

Description:

Red Hat is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join the Red Hat Agility and Technical Solutions (AnTS) team in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on analyzing tooling data to generate actionable insights that support both departmental and enterprise teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at leveraging large datasets, applying models to test and refine approaches, and translating data into actionable business outcomes. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders is critical, as is proficiency in multiple data tools and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leadership, project managers, analysts, and stakeholders to define and achieve business priorities.

• Elicit business and technical requirements and translate them into analytics reporting, dashboards, and executive-level reports.

• Mine and analyze data from multiple databases to optimize processes and improve business strategies.

• Develop and maintain highly visual dashboards and reports for non-technical audiences.

• Assess effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques.

• Present insights to stakeholders and guide data-driven decision-making processes.

• Integrate AI tools (LLMs like Google Gemini) where relevant to enhance problem-solving, research, and documentation.

Skills & Competencies:

• Expertise in Python, R, SQL, JavaScript, and experience with Tableau, QlikView, D3, EazyBI.

• Strong statistical analysis, data mining, and trend identification skills.

• Ability to automate reporting and develop data-driven processes.

• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake or similar) preferred.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Comfortable presenting insights and adapting to changing priorities.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years relevant experience.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis or equivalent relevant experience.

• Experience integrating AI and machine learning models into data analysis is preferred.
