Senior Data Engineer

Description:

Full Visibility LLC, a federally certified Small Business, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support advanced visual analytic applications in Huntsville, AL. This role requires developing data analytics for desktop and web-based visual analytic software, performing bulk analysis of relational information using advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, and leveraging open-source, COTS, and GOTS technologies. The Data Engineer will design and construct large relational databases, establish enterprise database standards, integrate new systems with existing warehouses, and optimize system performance and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop data analytics for visual analytic applications (desktop and web).

• Facilitate bulk analysis of relational information with advanced visualization and high-performance computing.

• Design and construct large relational databases, establish standards for operations, programming, and security.

• Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structures and refine system performance.

• Produce actionable intelligence from structured and semi-structured data streams.

• Support migration of JavaFX applications to modern cloud-native solutions.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret/SCI Eligible clearance.

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

• Knowledge of Java, Solr, Python, AWS, and RESTful Services.

• Experience supporting, maintaining, and migrating JavaFX applications.

• Strong decision-making skills and domain expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
