🚨 Hiring: Senior DBA – Performance & Load Testing | New York, NY (Onsite) | 6-Month Contract

We're looking for a top-tier senior database specialist — not a generalist DBA — to lead database performance and load testing across large-scale
transactional platforms.

📍 Location: Onsite – New York, NY
📅 Duration: 6 months
🎯 Experience: 7–8+ years

What you'll do:
• Design, execute & analyze database performance, load, stress & scalability tests
• Tune SQL queries, indexes, schema design & DB configurations under heavy workloads
• Investigate lock contention, deadlocks, slow queries, replication delays & resource bottlenecks
• Monitor saturation metrics — connections, IOPS, CPU, memory, buffer pool efficiency & replication health
• Drive scaling strategies: read replicas, partitioning, sharding, schema separation & instance upgrades
• Build observability, baselines, capacity plans & scalability benchmarks

Must-haves:
✅ Hands-on Performance & Load Testing experience (mandatory)
✅ Deep MariaDB & MySQL performance engineering expertise
✅ k6 (preferred), Locust, Gatling or similar load-testing frameworks
✅ Distributed load generation & large-scale performance testing programs
✅ Observability stacks: Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry
✅ Cloud-native & Kubernetes environments
✅ Strong Linux administration & automation
