Senior Drainage Engineer

Description:

The Senior Drainage Engineer will design and manage drainage projects focused on improving water management and flood control systems. Responsibilities include conducting hydrological and hydraulic analyses, collaborating with project teams to integrate drainage solutions, preparing and reviewing technical reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role also involves evaluating existing drainage systems and providing mentorship to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective drainage systems across projects

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling and analyses

• Collaborate with project teams for integrated design solutions

• Prepare and review technical documentation and reports

• Assess and recommend improvements for existing drainage infrastructure

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal drainage and flood control regulations

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in drainage engineering or similar field

• Strong proficiency with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software

• Familiarity with flood control and water resource management

• Experience in public works projects and regulatory requirements

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
