Description:
We are seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer (Renewables) to join our team.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in commercial and utility scale battery systems to support the development and optimization of Solar and BESS projects.
Responsibilities:
- Apply your experience from commercial scale solar and storage projects to transition into utility-scale projects, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
- Design of Solar and Solar + Storage Projects, ensuring efficient and effective system layouts, sometimes up to as built designs.
- Conduct power studies of renewable energy projects.
- Utilize PVSyst for energy modeling, providing accurate predictions of system output and performance.
- Conduct technical analysis to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to ensure compliance with project requirements, collaborating with various teams such as development, construction and occasionally O&M.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field. (Master’s preferred)
- 3-5 years’ experience with Community or Utility-scale solar/energy storage engineering. (knowledge of 30/60/90% designs, up to as built preferred)
- Understanding of general ISO & RTO guidelines across the U.S. with a strong preference of ERCOT.
- Experience in Renewable Energy based software’s such as AutoCAD, PvSyst, PvCase (some power studies experience in CYME, ETAP, PSCAD or PSS/E is a huge plus!)
- Positive attitude with an eagerness to continue learning in an evolving industry with a dynamic knowledgeable team!
