Senior Electrical Engineering

 

Description:

This is a full-time role for a Senior Electrical Engineer. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design, analysis, and review of electrical systems and components for power and utility projects, including renewable energy applications. Daily tasks include developing electrical design documentation, performing technical calculations, reviewing drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

 

1) Transmission Engineer:

PLS-CADD, conductor selection, structures, plans/profiles, grounding, routing, LiDAR, transmission standards

2) Distribution Engineer:

DG screening, P&C coordination, system impact studies, reclosers/cap banks/regulators, SAP

3) Distribution Planning

DER studies, interconnections, CYME, system upgrades and costs

4) Substation Engineer

Complete substation project engineering lifecycle, conceptual/design review, standards

5) Protection & Control

Relay protection, coordination, settings, logic, ASPEN, SCADA/HMI, IEDs, commissioning

6) Automation & Integration

SCADA maps, RTUs, point-to-point testing, commissioning

7) Civil Engineer

Grading, drainage, foundations, site plans, access

8) Electromechanical Engineer

One-lines, GA/layout, substation civil, equipment specs, structures, grounding

9) Security Telecommunications

LAN/WAN, capital projects, commissioning, construction/design review

10) Network Security

Automation/digitization projects, security, commissioning, planning

11) Compliance & Cybersecurity Capabilities

Cybersecurity, automation projects, compliance and technical/business reviews

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with practical experience in power and utility systems.
  • Proficiency in Electrical Design, including creating and reviewing schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills for system modeling, load flow analysis, fault studies, and problem-solving in complex projects.
  • Effective Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing clear technical reports, and engaging with clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Experience in the power, utility, or renewable energy sector, including familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility is preferred, along with experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
