As a Sr. Engineer, you will…

• • Apply logic in problem-solving and analysis of alternatives to assess the financial and operations impact of automation and controls-based systems (PLC, databases, operator interfaces and AB motion control platforms) related business initiatives. Assesses critical information to make effective decisions or recommendations.
  • Develop Requests for Proposal and bid analyses and leads contract negotiations as required to meet business needs. Manages project budget.
  • Develop and implement engineering designs in specific technical functions within distribution, manufacturing or packaging to improve efficiencies, increase capacity and reduce costs. Builds consensus across functions as project team leader on complex projects and initiatives.
  • Build multi-function alignment with quality assurance, engineering, manufacturing and other relevant business units or departments by engaging and directing resolutions of complex project and tactical initiatives.
  • Identify best process solutions on controversial issues. Mentors other partners in skill development and quality leadership. Provides training and education when needed.
  • Develop top-level process enhancement and experimental designs for the technical functions of customer operations. Generates technical solutions in a cost-effective manner. Obtains appropriate level of information and analyzes complex problems to produce tactical and strategic decisions to improve quality.
  • Influence team and organizational direction to build cross-functional alignment.
  • Initiate technical strategies to meet changing business needs. Balances trade-offs and conflicting priorities to gain cross-functional concurrence.

    Qualifications

  • • Consumer products or food company and plant experience, either technical or production (5 years)
    • Engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical or industrial) 5 years
    • Design, develop, maintain and modify systems which include PLC’s, databases, operator interfaces and batch control systems. (3 years)
    • Strong understanding of Rockwell Automation ControlLogix motion control platforms (7 years)
    • Strong understanding of AVEVA (Wonderware) Industrial Application platform (7 years)
    • Performance metrics development and root cause analysis (3 years)
