This is a Senior Analyst (Consultant) role on the Finance Leading Performance team, which is Chevron’s internal consulting team for the global finance function. The team is continually working with finance teams around the world to improve their processes, align with the finance future state vision, and solve problems that may arise and be brought forward to us. The role requires consultant skill sets, including innovative thinking, unstructured problem solving, influencing, storytelling, strong communication skills and a passion for simplifying Finance as a function. Additionally, the team assists in deployment of new technologies to the function, which requires project management skills.

Responsibilities for this this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Lead consulting engagement team of 2-3 analysts with a finance team within Chevron to review their organization, solve problems and improve processes and share best practices
  • Assist with implementation support of our recommendations to finance teams as requested by client organizations
  • Participate in benchmarking exercises for the global finance function as well as specific teams that request ad-hoc benchmarking services
  • Assist with communications and engagements with Chevron’s global finance leadership team
  • Lead team efforts to implement process and technology changes and deploy system functionality across the finance function.

 

Key Considerations:

  • Position is located in Houston, TX
  • Hybrid work model: two days in-office, three days remote. 9/80 work schedule supported
  • Teams are global, thus there will be some working across time zones
  • Interest in future Chevron assignments as part of the broader Finance Function and/or embedded positions within Upstream, Midstream, Downstream and other support functions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Consulting/Project Management, including leading consulting and/or project engagements at a strategy/management consulting firm or Big Four firm’s consulting/advisory arm
  • Knowledge of standard finance processes and functional activities
  • Some domestic and international travel is required (~10-15%)
