Senior It Business Analyst

Description:

Symmetry Energy is looking for a Senior Information Technology Business Analyst to support their marketing applications and trade capture systems. This individual will work closely with the business and IT teams, helping identify operational, financial, and technological risks, as well as supporting the Natural Gas Trading business. The Senior IT Business Analyst will be responsible for a range of tasks, from liaising between teams to creating and documenting technical and business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact daily with user communities, infrastructure teams, developers, and managers to support marketing applications and recommend strategic growth

• Identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks within the business

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and act as a liaison between business and IT groups

• Develop and document business solutions for issues/enhancements, translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications

• Provide support for ETRM systems, especially in the Natural Gas Trading business

• Ensure consistency in reporting solutions and manage reporting requirements

• Perform quality assurance (QA) testing on system configuration and development changes

• Provide timely reports on outstanding issues to business and senior management

• Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Certification/Experience:

• BS degree in MIS/CIS/CSE or equivalent experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in supporting trade capture and risk management systems within the financial or energy industries

• Expertise in ION/Openlink Endur platform (Endur V14 and higher), with proficiency in gMotion

• Proficient in SQL for database querying

• Experience with project management and technology solutions implementation
