Senior Java Developer

Description:

This is a full-time contract role for a Senior Java Developer, located in New York City Metropolitan Area. As a Senior Java Developer at SVK Tech, you will lead the design, development, and enhancement of complex software applications for high-performance and scalability. You will work with cross-functional teams, such as project managers, business analysts, and technical architects, to develop and deploy high-quality software products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in Java/J2EE software development and design patterns
• Expertise in Spring Framework, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, JUnit, and Maven
• Strong experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end technologies such as React and Angular
• Hands-on experience with agile development methodologies and experience with Agile tools like JIRA
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle is a plus
• Experience with cloud services like AWS or Google Cloud, container-based deployment (Docker), or NoSQL databases is a plus
