Senior Java Developer

Description:

BuzzClan is seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the PCS SCOR EI system. The role involves designing and implementing software solutions by analyzing system requirements, engaging with stakeholders to understand needs, and reviewing existing processes for improvements. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing updates to the SCOR Java system, including modifications to business logic, enhancements to the user interface, expansion of reporting capabilities, and extension of the system’s data model.

The engineer will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, code reviews, documentation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of defects. This position also requires ensuring adherence to code coverage, testing standards, and security policies. Support for applications in multiple environments is expected, as well as availability for on-call support when needed. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in alignment with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software solutions by gathering requirements, analyzing systems flow, and defining specifications.

• Enhance and maintain existing applications in both development and maintenance modes.

• Implement changes to business logic, UI elements, and data models to meet evolving needs.

• Conduct thorough testing, participate in peer reviews, and maintain compliance with quality standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performing root cause analysis where required.

• Maintain strong adherence to coding, security, and documentation best practices.

• Provide on-call technical support as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• 8 years experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using Java.

• 8 years experience in J2EE application development.

• 8 years experience writing SQL for relational databases.

• 8 years experience in RESTful web services using the Spring framework.

• 8 years experience in Spring AOP, including transaction management and security.

• 8 years experience with JUnit and unit test development.

Preferred Skills:

• 4 years experience with Angular UI framework.

• 4 years experience with Crystal Reports.

• 4 years experience with PowerBI.
