Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Description:

Peloton Interactive is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their AI/Computer Vision team, focusing on deep learning and deployment of ML models for connected fitness devices. The engineer will collaborate closely with ML and Systems Engineers to ensure successful implementation of ML applications on device, define processes for packaging and deploying ML projects, and guide the team on managing multi-dependency modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers to translate and deploy AI/ML solutions for fitness devices.

• Ensure work produced is deployable in end-to-end systems and maintains expected model performance.

• Work on projects involving temporal modeling, object detection, segmentation, perception, multi-modal data, and ensembling.

• Translate research into high-quality production code with strong system design.

• Manage large image and video datasets for model training and evaluation.

• Operate in CI/CD environments and use version control (git).

• Guide best practices for multi-dependency modules and deployment strategies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python and C/C++.

• Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.

• Deep understanding of neural network architectures (CNN, LSTM, 3D Convs, GNN, TCN, Metric Learning, Transformer-based models).

• Experience with large-scale datasets and deployment of ML models in production.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in CI/CD and Git workflows.

Preferred Qualifications / Bonus Points:

• Experience with model compression (quantization, pruning, distillation).

• Knowledge of edge inference frameworks (Qualcomm SNPE, TensorFlow Lite, CoreML).

• Development experience on consumer devices, Android NDK, iOS CoreML.

• Experience with sequential modeling, few-shot learning, detection/tracking, and transformers.

• Experience with GPU/DSP compute offloads, profiling, and tracing tools.

• Familiarity with Objective-C or Swift.
