Description:

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Capture Manager (Mgr Capture Management 3) to join its Warfare Systems business group in Dayton, OH. This position is designed for a highly strategic and execution-oriented professional who will lead complex business capture efforts across cybersecurity, mission IT, electronic warfare, and C5ISR systems. The role demands strong leadership in proposal development, customer engagement, and win strategy execution to secure critical government contracts and position HII for growth in emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead capture activities from pipeline development through proposal submission and award transition.

• Develop innovative win strategies that clearly demonstrate HII’s unique value proposition.

• Manage all aspects of the bid process, including technical approach, pricing strategy, and compliance.

• Conduct Black Hat, Blue Team, and Win Strategy sessions to optimize probability of win.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with HII’s solutions.

• Collaborate closely with business development, program management, technical leadership, and executives.

• Oversee development of competitive and compliant proposals, ensuring customer requirements are fully met.

• Generate proposal pricing with the proposal team, leveraging historical data and market trends.

• Ensure smooth transition of awarded projects to delivery teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 4 years of experience, or HS diploma with 10 years of relevant experience.

• Proven success in capture management, proposal leadership, and customer engagement.

• Prior experience in engineering and/or program management.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple complex pursuits in fast-paced environments.

• Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret preferred).

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

• Willingness to travel 11–25% as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Located in customer hubs such as Dayton, OH; Los Angeles, CA; McLean, VA; or National Capital Region.

• Strong track record across the full capture lifecycle, including all contract types (FFP, T&M, cost-plus, IDIQ).

• Ability to obtain and maintain TS clearance.
