Description:

Walmart Creative Studio (WCS), the in-house creative agency for Walmart, is hiring a Senior Manager, Creative – Associate Creative Director (Fashion – Art) for its Los Angeles, CA office. This is a full-time, on-site role offering a unique opportunity to lead fashion-centric creative strategy and execution for one of the world’s largest retail brands.

As the Associate Creative Director, you will report directly to the Creative Director, Fashion, and oversee seasonal initiatives and multichannel campaigns focused on fashion branding. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who can combine art direction, concept development, and team leadership to create immersive, aspirational, and strategic creative that connects with American consumers.


Key Responsibilities:

Creative Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the conceptual development and execution of 360-degree creative campaigns for fashion and seasonal initiatives

  • Translate briefs into high-impact ideas that drive KPIs such as brand awareness, consumer engagement, and loyalty

  • Manage end-to-end creative production including casting, scripting, location planning, shot lists, editing, color grading, and asset delivery

  • Supervise the creation of visually cohesive and culturally relevant design systems and visual storytelling

  • Ensure brand consistency across touchpoints, from digital to in-store

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and manage a team of Senior Art Directors and Art Directors, cultivating a positive and innovative creative culture

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments like marketing, the fashion office, and editorial teams to align objectives

  • Foster a high-performing, award-winning in-house creative team model

Industry Awareness & Brand Building

  • Stay current with fashion trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behaviors to guide creative strategy

  • Infuse industry insights into campaigns to elevate brand positioning in the marketplace

  • Champion ideas that keep Walmart fashion relevant, modern, and aspirational


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or a related field

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in creative roles within fashion, with strong emphasis on art direction

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in both agency and in-house environments

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Google Slides, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office 365, and Slack

  • Strong portfolio showcasing 360-degree campaigns with impactful, high-quality creative output

  • Expertise in fashion storytelling, visual branding, and multimedia production


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing digital content for e-commerce, editorial, or omnichannel fashion campaigns

  • Proven track record working with cross-functional teams and external creative agencies

  • Familiarity with retail marketing ecosystems and consumer-centric creative models


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual Salary Range: $108000 – $216000 (approx. $9000 – $18000 per month)

  • Additional compensation may include:
