Description:
Clark Nuber PS is seeking an experienced State and Local Tax (SALT) Senior Manager to join their dynamic team in Bellevue, WA. This hybrid position requires local residency in the Seattle or surrounding areas and offers an opportunity to lead high-impact client engagements across various industries.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of comprehensive SALT services including income/franchise and sales/use tax return reviews, sophisticated tax research, and audit defense. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying strategic tax-saving opportunities, providing technical guidance, and fostering strong client relationships.
As a key contributor to the firm’s growth, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams on client service and business development, prepare client proposals, and engage in industry activities like publishing articles and presenting at events. Mentorship is integral to this role; you’ll train and guide Associates and Seniors, support their development, and lead special practice development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a full spectrum of SALT services, from tax return reviews to audit defense and technical memorandums.
Advise clients on optimal tax positions, credits, incentives, exemptions, and corporate structures.
Lead engagements from planning through execution, ensuring client expectations are exceeded.
Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated services and explore new business opportunities.
Contribute to firm development by supporting business growth initiatives, creating thought leadership, and representing the firm externally.
Provide technical support to clients and internal teams on emerging tax matters.
Mentor junior staff on technical skills, client handling, and career growth.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or CMI certification required; Master's in Taxation or LLM preferred.
