Foodbuy USA, the procurement and supply chain solutions subsidiary of Compass Group PLC, is seeking a Senior Category Development Manager – Beverages to take strategic ownership and execution of assigned beverage categories. As a leading player in sourcing and supply chain, Foodbuy serves industries including hospitality, healthcare, education, entertainment, gaming, and supports Compass Group—the world’s largest contract food and support services provider.

The Senior Category Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing category sourcing strategies, negotiating supplier contracts, conducting financial planning and forecasting, and providing proactive insights to shape a comprehensive 3-year category strategy. This role involves analyzing industry trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing supplier performance, and delivering insightful presentations with recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for assigned categories.

• Partnering with sourcing teams to negotiate and execute preferred supplier agreements.

• Developing and executing category strategies aligned with market trends and business needs.

• Conducting trend analysis to identify opportunities and corrective actions.

• Managing supplier performance, ensuring escalation resolution, and continuous improvement.

• Designing and implementing cost-saving initiatives within the beverage category.

• Preparing and delivering strategic reports and presentations with actionable insights.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, category management, finance, or supplier management.

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to influence across direct and indirect teams.

• Experience in budgeting and forecasting.

• Willingness to travel up to 5% annually.
