EY is seeking a Seasonal Senior Manager for its Financial Services Organization (FSO) – Real Estate Tax practice, based in Las Vegas, Nevada (on-site with some flexibility for remote work). This position offers an exciting opportunity to join EY’s dedicated Financial Services Organization, the only professional services unit among the Big Four firms fully focused on financial services clients.
The Real Estate FSO team at EY provides cutting-edge tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse range of clients in real estate, hospitality, and construction, including REITs, investment funds, developers, and global institutions. As a Senior Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead tax teams, manage complex transactions, and provide strategic guidance on real estate taxation and structuring.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple real estate tax projects across compliance, planning, due diligence, acquisitions, and dispositions.
Analyze evolving portfolios of complex tax operations to generate meaningful business insights for clients.
Advise clients on partnership taxation, REIT qualification and structuring, allocations, and regulatory compliance.
Identify potential tax risks and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations.
Supervise, mentor, and develop junior professionals, ensuring they reach their potential.
Build long-term client relationships by tailoring solutions to specific business needs.
Collaborate in a highly dynamic, team-oriented culture that values innovation and problem-solving.
Manage project budgets and business development initiatives within the real estate tax market.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
7–10 years of experience in real estate tax within a professional services environment.
In-depth technical expertise in partnership taxation, REITs, compliance, structuring, and due diligence.
Proven track record of managing people, projects, and budgets in a professional services context.
Technical writing and research experience in a tax environment.
Strong influencing, communication, and leadership skills.
CPA license or membership in a state bar.
Willingness to travel as required.
