Description:
Our client near Upper Saddle River, NJ is seeking a Senior Manager of Pricing with Transportation or Logistics industry experience to set, maintain and monitor pricing strategies globally. The Manager will provide market, competition and revenue insights, and use a blend of transaction-level pricing, investment analysis with portfolio analytics, and return attribution to establish competitive pricing.
This position requires onsite work, and hands on experience using tools such as SQL, PowerBI, Qlik and/or Python.
Main responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain dynamic pricing models and strategies that help maximize profit while ensuring competitive pricing
- Monitor actual performance, analyze customer behavior and market trends, and be a critical member of deal teams during price negotiations
- Use analytical and statistical techniques to develop and update pricing model input assumptions
- Develop and maintain pricing guidelines, procedures, databases and systems, identifying additional innovative technologies to create a competitive advantage
- Create KPIs, metrics and high-quality materials and supporting documentation to share with senior management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure pricing accuracy and alignment with company goals
- Identify and communicate ideas to improve and streamline processes, assess potential risks and devise appropriate risk mitigation strategies
- Develop a strong understanding of the businesses, to be able to provide ad-hoc analysis over certain business lines, products, or operational metrics
- Contribute to the various global improvement and transformation initiatives that will reshape the monetization of services.
Required:
- Experience building pricing models, conducting market and customer research, and implementing pricing strategies, and make recommendations
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of pricing tools and techniques
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite of applications, including the ability to review and update financial models and prepare high-quality presentations
- Experience with SQL, Python and business intelligence tools (Qlik / Power BI)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field, master's degree a plus
- A strong interest in transportation, logistics, shipping, infrastructure and real asset
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in pricing in a corporate environment preferred
