Role Overview The Senior Mechanical Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships while mentoring project teams and ensuring successful project delivery in line with company standards for safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Lead all phases of mechanical construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor management
  • Manage project teams, ensuring effective coordination between field operations, engineering, and preconstruction
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Review and approve project estimates, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
  • Oversee cost control, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting
  • Support BIM coordination and assist in resolving design and field conflicts
  • Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability across all project phases
     

Qualifications
 

  • 8+ years of experience managing mechanical (HVAC/plumbing) projects in commercial or institutional construction
  • Proven track record of delivering projects in the $10M–$50M+ range
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
  • Experience managing multiple teams and mentoring project engineers or assistant PMs
  • Proficiency with Procore, BlueBeam, Microsoft Project, and Excel
  • Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
