Senior Network Architect

Prudent Technologies and Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Architect for an on-site role based in Dalton, GA. This is a contract-to-hire position offering an exciting opportunity to work on advanced network infrastructure projects involving cutting-edge Cisco, SD-WAN, and data center technologies.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in network design, data center operations, cloud integration, and WAN/LAN architecture, along with proven hands-on experience in large-scale enterprise network environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and optimization of enterprise-level networks including LAN, WAN, and Data Center infrastructure.

• Architect, implement, and maintain complex routing topologies utilizing BGP and EIGRP protocols.

• Manage and optimize Cisco Nexus-based data center environments, particularly within VXLAN EVPN architectures involving leaf-spine topology and multi-VRF environments.

• Utilize Nexus Dashboard for centralized network operations and visibility.

• Oversee and enhance SD-WAN configurations, with preference for candidates experienced in Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN.

• Design and manage LAN and campus networks, including modular and non-modular Cisco Catalyst switches.

• Configure and maintain application load balancers such as Radware or F5 to ensure high availability and load distribution.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network performance, scalability, and reliability across enterprise systems.

• Integrate public cloud environments (Azure and GCP) with on-premise infrastructure for hybrid networking solutions.

• Provide network performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization to maintain maximum uptime and efficiency.

• Ensure all designs and configurations adhere to industry best practices and security compliance standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in network engineering or architecture.

• At least 10 years of hands-on WAN experience working with complex routing topologies and protocols such as BGP and EIGRP.

• 8–10 years of data center networking experience with Cisco Nexus platforms.

• Demonstrated experience in VXLAN EVPN with leaf-spine architecture and multi-VRF environments.

• 2–4 years of SD-WAN experience, preferably including Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN.

• 5 years of LAN and campus network experience with Cisco switching platforms.

• Experience with application load balancers like Radware or F5.

• Good understanding of public cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification required.
