Headway, a trailblazing mental health technology company, is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join its remote-first team, focused on transforming mental healthcare accessibility in the U.S. This opportunity involves designing intuitive, scalable tools for Headway's provider Electronic Health Records (EHR) platform, which supports a national network of over 45,000 therapists. The role is ideal for a creative and strategic designer passionate about solving real-world healthcare problems with well-crafted, scalable design systems.

The company’s mission is to create a radically accessible mental health system by enabling therapists to accept insurance and manage their practices seamlessly using Headway’s software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape and execute product vision for provider-facing EHR tools.

• Apply product thinking, interaction design, and visual design to deliver user-centric solutions that enhance provider workflows.

• Expand and refine the Headway design system (Helix) to support scalable, accessible design practices.

• Contribute to design culture, team growth, and operational processes.

• Lead high-impact design projects from discovery through execution and refinement.

Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of experience as a Product Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing complex product work.

• Demonstrated expertise in shipping user-friendly, thoughtful product experiences at scale.

• Ability to balance speed and design quality; excellent attention to micro-interactions and UI polish.

• Experience working autonomously and driving initiatives from concept to delivery.

• Deep understanding of design systems and strong collaboration skills across product and engineering.

• Passion for Headway’s mission to improve access, affordability, and quality in mental health care.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $183600–$216000 annually (based on experience and location)
