Description:
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Controls Planner to support Life Sciences projects in their Project & Development Services division. This senior-level role acts as the primary client-facing representative for planning activities, working closely with key stakeholders to develop strategic schedules and resource plans throughout the project lifecycle—from early phases to closeout. The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a project planning team.
The planner will establish and manage the schedule management program for large-scale capital projects, integrating third-party plans and schedules, facilitating interactive planning sessions, and performing quantitative risk assessments. Responsibilities include preparing baseline and progress schedules, analyzing schedule impacts, monitoring deviations, developing corrective action strategies, and providing schedule reporting and trending metrics to senior management and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish schedule management tools, technology, processes, and procedures for capital programs.
Act as a trusted advisor to project stakeholders, providing guidance and strategic recommendations.
Develop, monitor, and update integrated project plans and schedules aligned with program goals.
Plan and coordinate Owner scope activities within integrated schedules.
Integrate third-party plans and schedules into the overall project schedule.
Facilitate planning sessions and quantitative risk assessments.
Prepare baseline schedules, progress schedules, and “what-if” scenarios.
Monitor critical path activities, deviations, and variances; recommend corrective actions.
Provide schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis periodically.
Maintain records of scope changes, trends, and variances affecting schedule performance.
Ensure schedule credibility and accurate data incorporation through regular team reviews.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
10+ years of experience as a planner/scheduler on capital projects, including design and construction phases.
Experience working within complex, matrixed environments.
Expertise using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; construction industry experience required, life sciences experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
