Ramboll, a global leader in sustainable architecture, engineering, and consultancy services, is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its growing Data Center Sector team across its Northeast U.S. offices. This hybrid-based role is pivotal in shaping sustainable infrastructure through technical excellence and innovation.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and delivering civil engineering projects from planning through construction, with a strong focus on data center development. You will apply your expertise in site layout, grading, drainage, and utility design to provide top-tier infrastructure solutions aligned with Ramboll’s sustainability vision. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and direct interaction with clients will be a regular part of your work, making this role ideal for a dynamic, communication-driven professional with a strong technical foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead civil engineering projects across all phases, ensuring technical quality and on-time delivery.

• Design and oversee civil infrastructure for data centers, including site layout, drainage systems, utilities, and roadways.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while aligning with Ramboll’s sustainability principles.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams including architects, engineers (mechanical, electrical, environmental), and contractors.

• Produce and review engineering documents, technical reports, specifications, and risk assessments.

• Stay updated with industry developments, adopting innovative technologies and methodologies to improve project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 7 years of experience with emphasis on site layout and stormwater design.

• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and teams effectively.

• Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
